Internet for Robots: It's Not Skynet, It's RoboEarth

Internet for Robots: It's Not Skynet, It's RoboEarth:
"'If you're going to have networked robots at home, it can do physical damage to your person, analogous to the way in which malware might damage your data,' says Teller, though he also considers RoboEarth a positive step. 'Your PC has a webcam, but it can't hit you on the head. Once these things gain the ability to move on their own, even without the virus or the bad guy dialing in from the Internet, if there is a bug in it, it can hurt you.'"

  1. I remember posting a similar link on facebook about this. I guess HAL would be happy about this. Some time in our life we have to realize that computer scientists really want such world where everything is run by computers to exist. In my opinion, there should be a limit to all of this nonsense, but if people want the world to change, then is impossible to prevent it. Why? Because if we rely too much on technology, people will start thinking that they won't be able to live without it. Imagine if the entire global internet is shut off just like Egypt, then not only insanity will occur but a chain reaction of violence. Albert Einstein once said, "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Technology will lead to the doom of our civilization.
