Reflection on the first group project

Describe your group's process.  Be specific. How did you come up with a plan? How did you distribute  responsibilities? Where did you find your information?

What worked well in this project? What didn't work so well?

Did someone emerge as a leader?  Did everyone contribute?

Would you want to work with the same people again? Why or why not?

Was this a good way to learn? What were some of the benefits? What were some of the drawbacks?

  1. Well our group went into our first meeting without any ideas. We started bouncing ideas off of each other about possibly a powerpoint or a timeline but no one was really interested in that. We started doing research about the topic when we decided to make a movie over clips that were relevant to the topic off of youtube. In our first meeting we all sat and did research out loud together picking and choosing what we thought would fit in and make our project the best it could be. Once we had all the information we thought we needed we called day 1 a rap. Over night we split up the sections and all found videos that we could use in the final video and Tim volunteered to write the script because he thought he could add some insight into the topic. We met again the next day and went over what clips to put where and set up the video. The next day the group met to record the script over our video but unfortunately I could not be there because I was having serious heart problems and had to spend the entire day in the hospital. I think that our group worked very well together and everyone contributed a fair amount. Luckily we had no one who slacked because that would definitely have been frustrating. Yes, I would 100% work with the same group again, like I just said, we worked really well together and I thought that our final outcome was very good. I believe that this was a good way to learn because everyone brought a different set of skills and knowledge to the group which made me learn more and also made our final project even better.
